I decided to pick up some of these to add some 'wow' factor to my Pharaoh set. They arrived today, and I LOVE them! I bought 10 of this version (glossy) NVC's knowing that they have been supplanted by a new version (matte), figuring that since they are on sale I see them on the cheap before committing to more. I am kind of picky, and have been disappointed by plaques I bought elsewhere over the internet in the past. But these are really great - very high quality. I wholeheartedly recommend these if you are on the fence.
The only down side to buying this version is that as of this writing the glossy finish is discontinued, and only the NVC is left of the old stock. So if you absolutely must have the same finish and want the 5k's and 25k's you are going to have to go with the new matte finish. I like these enough, and am not personally bothered mixing finishes in this case (kind of reminds me of real life casino where one often finds old and new edition graphics in play). So, I will be ordering some of the matte 5k's and 25k's to complete the set.
